3 Bedroom Villa in Cotignac

Recent fully air-conditioned villa of 145 m2, of traditional construction on two levels, on one hectare of landscaped land, in olive trees, vines, fig, plum, lavender and other Mediterranean species, in the peace of the Var countryside, and not overlooked , while being very close to the village (5 minutes by car or 7 minutes by footpath of 750 meters).
The house consists of a large entrance with separate toilet, serving on half level, upstairs a master bedroom (sleeping 2 people) with TV and with its solarium, a bathroom, separate toilet, and another bedroom adult (sleeping 2 people).
On the lower half level, a large 45 m2 living and dining room, with open kitchen fully equipped with its pantry, corner fireplace, living room opening onto a terrace with wood-fired barbecue, shaded by an arbor and its vineyard . From the kitchen, access to a comfortable fully equipped veranda, overlooking a large terrace, and to a bedroom intended for children (sleeping 4 people) with direct access to its bathroom.
The exteriors have been arranged all around the house, in different spaces and different terraces, so that everyone can enjoy both the absolute calm and the beauty of the place. You can, for example, have breakfast, or have a barbecue under the arbor in the shade of the vine, relax in a hammock stretched between two olive trees, enjoy the sun on the large terrace between lawn and palm trees, or enjoy the swimming pool and all its facilities.
The pool area, located on another wing of the house, includes a fully equipped summer kitchen, with a large three-burner gas stove, oven, ceramic hob, fridge and freezer, and its bar made of local dry stone. The summer kitchen opens onto a large terrace with teak table and chairs, also shaded by an arbor, and terrace extending onto the pool decks, 9 meters long by 4.5 meters wide. The swimming pool, equipped with a large Romanesque staircase with whirlpool, is 1.10 m deep in half to allow the little ones to enjoy it on foot. On its other half, the bottom is 1.80 meters in diamond, to allow the older ones to dive safely. Finally, its beaches are equipped with sunbeds and sun loungers. A play area for children is also provided with slide gantry, table tennis, a trampoline, and ornamental pools planted with water lilies, and populated with goldfish and koi carp.
The Derroc will therefore be able to accommodate 8 people in very good comfort, in a magnificent setting and with rare tranquility during the four seasons. Walks and hikes starting from the house, or even the animations and the life of the village 'a stone's throw away', like the many markets and animations, the shows of the Théâtre du Rocher, the open-air cinema, the restaurants will delight you and will make your holidays at Derroc unforgettable. The house has a very nice pedestrian path that will allow you to get to the village on foot very quickly (the path is 750 meters and it takes 7 minutes), the last four photos of the ad show this path.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Le Durroc. The villa was even better than the pictures. We pretty much lived around the fabulous pool area. The outdoor kitchen was superb and we cooked all of our meals outside. The grounds are very well maintained and compliment the stunning location. Francois was exceedingly helpful and on hand to answer any questions. We loved our daily walks into Cotingac. The little town has pretty much everything you need and has markets on almost daily. Fabulous for eating out, although do book if you are planning to eat out on Wednesday evening as we struggled to get a table as there is an evening market on during the summer months. We will definitely be back!!

Summary: This was our 3rd time staying here , and again we had an amazing 2 weeks. The house is well equipped with everything we needed. François, as before, met us on arrival, to ensure we were happy with everything. The outside area is where we spent most of the time. The pool is so good, and needed, as it was hot and sunny almost every day. There is also a shadier area at the back. Francois is a great host, always replies very quickly to any enquiries, and is very helpful and keen to ensure we had the best time. Cotignac is a beautiful village with plenty of good restaurants and shops, and a bonus that you can use the path to walk there in around 7 minutes. Without doubt, our favourite place to stay!

Summary: We truly had a perfect vacation at this beautiful house! We were welcomed very friendly and flexible in time and everything was explained thoroughly. The house is stunning and has everything you need. Especially the pool area with its additional outside kitchen is a huge plus. You have sun until the late evening and it’s a great atmosphere. The house is very well equipped with everything you need. The garden is beautifully maintained with lots of olive trees and nice places to sit and relax surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Walking down to the village of Cotignac is easily reached in about 10 minutes and the amazing scenery never gets boring. Cotignac is a beautiful, pittoresk little town with everything you need. Many restaurants and shops, including a little supermarket and a great bakery. We recommend the house 100%, not only because it’s simply beautiful but also because we felt very welcome and François was helpful and a perfect host. We definitely plan on coming back! Thank you so much for everything.

Summary: An absolutely gem of a villa in a lovely part of Provence. My family and I had a fantastic two weeks there and the property has everything you need along with a delightful swimming pool and outdoor kitchen. The beautiful village of Contignac is a short walk away and has some lovely shops, bars and restaurants. The Tuesday market is great too. Would not hesitate to return to this villa and lovely location.

Summary: Lovely home and beautiful stay. Francois met us with a smile, was very professional and went over everything in the home. Walk to town is about 15 minutes as I am not able to walk too fast up some hills with beautiful views. We enjoyed our time at the villa everyday by the pool and outdoor kitchen was wonderful being my husband is a chef and daughter is an aspiring chef. Great time had by all. Merci Francois

Summary: We really loved the house. It was nice, easy to live in and very well kept. The pool area with the outdoor kitchen was where we stayed all holiday and had all meals. The owner was very attentive and helped us at any time from before arriving and under the holiday. The local area around Cotignac was also nice, with nice markets, wineries and cosy small french towns. Can totally recommend.

Summary: This was the second time here in this lovely villa in Cotignac. Again it didn’t disappoint. The villa is equipped with everything that we needed, and more. Francois met us upon arrival, a great host and we managed to communicate well (my French is not very good). A short walk to the beautiful village of Cotignac, full of restaurants, bars and shops. The weather was sunny for the whole 2 weeks and the pool was used every day. I would highly recommend this villa, nothing to fault! We are hoping to return again 🙏☀️☀️☀️ Thank you Francois once again

Summary: Beautiful and well equipped villa with lovely host (Francois) who lives nearby and was always available to provide help when needed. Nice secluded location but an easy walk into town. Only negative is that access by car is down a steep and narrow unmade road and the turn to get in and out of the property is very difficult for anything other than a small car.

Summary: We know the area and Cotignac very well and could see that this property was a short 10 min walk from all the bars and restaurants in the village. Nice property, the pictures of the lounge area don't do it justice though. It is an excellent room. Strange configuration with the downstairs bedroom being the only en-suite and having two sets of bunkbeds in it. Would really have expected and preferred a double ensuite downstairs. The other two double rooms upstairs were rather small and shared a bathroom and w/c. Fortunately for us, it was just the two of us, but could have a been a bit of a squeeze with any more adults. The outside kitchen and pool area were lovely and when all lit up at night looked amazing Sadly though, the WiFi signal did not reach pool area, which was a real shame, so could not connect to music and also as we needed to stay in contact with work, we could not do this by the pool. There were no usable table tennis bats and only one broken ball - which was ok for us, as we have our own anyway, but this would have meant a trip to a sports shop at least 40 mins away if you hadn't brought your own. The grounds were really lovely as well.
